The faculty is international in nature and is composed of practicing art therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, artists, and artivists.
To enroll in the Postgraduate Diploma in Art Therapy and Community Art, it is essential to have successfully completed an Introductory Course in Art Therapy at Metàfora.

INTRODUCTORY COURSES
The program combines theoretical and practical training from a relational, psychodynamic, and community-based approach. Throughout the postgraduate course, subjects are progressively structured to support both personal and professional development, integrating art therapy, community art, and psychological foundations.
The training is offered in both blended and 100% online formats, maintaining in both cases an experiential methodology and continuous group work.
The postgraduate program lasts one academic year and consists of 30 ECTS credits. It is the second level of Metàfora’s full training in art therapy and is equivalent to the first year of the Master’s Degree in Art Therapy. Together with the Master’s and the Introductory Course, it completes the 120 ECTS recommended by the Asociación Profesional Española de Arteterapeutas, also taking into account international bodies such as the British Association of Art Therapists and the American Art Therapy Association.
Upon completion of the course, and provided that at least 80% of classes have been attended, students receive a diploma and an academic transcript. Assessment is comprehensive and continuous, combining evaluation of academic performance with personal and professional development throughout the training process. The possible assessment outcomes are: Pass, Fail, or Not Attended.
